When it comes to planning one helluva wedding you should totally get your bridal expo on! Weddings aren’t built in a day, so an expo can help you with all sorts of wedding challenges. Like picking mere qualities you want in a vendor, or narrowing down colors and themes. anigif_enhanced-32202-1392247455-2You might even find some killer decorations that are out of your budget league but that you can find a way to DIY. Or maybe you’ll meet a designer you really want to sew you your very own one of a kind dress…with pockets? photo credit

No matter what you are looking for in a bridal expo, this solid advice will help you work it like a pro.

What To Wear & Be Armed With

  • when-i-go-through-the-aislesYou can still look super-cute and wear comfy shoes and clothes. You’re going to be running around on floors that won’t be forgiving to your back, so dress like a boss who’s come to shop and take names. photo credit
  • Don’t worry about bringing a bag, someone will be giving away a tote.
  • You might need a pen and a small notebook to make notes. When these vendors you pimped your digits out to start calling, you can refer to your notes that way you know what they are on about.

Work The Bridal Expo, Don’t Let It Work YOU

  • Wait to visit any vendors you have your eye on until the bridal fashion show is under way. While everyone else goes to sit down and watch, you get to cruise up and have private convos and quick chats with vendors. One on one is always better because the vendor isn’t stressed or running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
  • If you’re looking for something specific, bring pictures so you can show the vendors and ask “Can you do this?”
  • Don’t be afraid to ask questions. A quality vendor will take their time with you even if there are a queue of people behind you. If a vendor seems like they are done talking to you and you aren’t done talking to them, then they don’t want your business. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. Walk away with grace and notate them as: Douche Canoe or Jack Wagon.
  • Save your real phone number for a vendor you’re really interested in. Google offers phone numbers associated with your Google+ account for free. So, you don’t get overwhelmed by all those vendors you hand your digits out to. Nobody likes a stage 5 clinger, even if it is for a bad-a$$ wedding cake.
  • Come prepared with a wedding-only email, too. Create one ahead of time, so you don’t get a shiz-ton of wedding spam in your real email.
  • bridalexpoMake some sticky labels with your name, email, Google number, address, wedding date, etc. that way you don’t have to waste time filling out a ton of the same info on forms and contest entries.

When it’s all said and done, you can rest easy knowing you killed it! photo credit
