Anyone who has gotten married will tell you how much hard work is involved with planning a wedding. It can take up so much of your time. But newly-weds will also tell you how memorable it is. Putting in the effort to make your wedding day super special will be so worth it. One of the big areas that need focusing is often the reception venue. There are so many different ways to add sparkle to your venue. Try some of these ideas when you come to your planning.

Theme

If you want to run with a wedding theme, you should think about this before you do any other planning. Everything else will be dependent on your theme. Try to think of something that you and your partner are really passionate about. If there is one thing in particular which you both love, use that as your theme. It might be travel or sports or something else entirely. Whatever you chose, find ways to incorporate this into your design as much as you can.

Table Decor

It can be really important to think about the things you put on your tables to decorate them. I have been to a few weddings where the table decor was so large you could hardly see anyone sitting across from you. Think about keeping it simple and minimalistic so that your guests can get to know each other. Many couples opt for flowers in a vase. This is always a nice, simple touch. However, you don’t have to stick with flowers. You can choose ornaments or confetti instead. If you have opted for a theme, maybe think about how this can be tied into the theme.

Make it personal

If you can, you should try to make the venue as personal to you as possible. You could think about getting some photos developed and framed to hang around the venue. Maybe you could do a timeline that documents your relationship from start to the present point.

Plan your top table

Traditionally, the bride and groom would sit on a long table either with their parents or their bridesmaids and groomsmen. However, there are many different ways for the bride and groom to sit for the evening. You can try different shaped tables, so that you can all see each other. You could even think about wedding kosha designs. This is a tradition in Gulf countries where the bride and groom sit in a beautifully decorated and ornate stage area. Think about what sort of design will suit your preferences.

Seats

You don’t want to go to all the hard work or making your venue look beautiful only to forget the seating. This doesn’t have to cost a lot. You could do something as simple as wrapping a ribbon around the back of your chair. Alternatively there are many companies that do seating covers in a variety of colours. You will be sure to find something which suits your venue and adds some spice to your decor.
