Why DIY:
The reason we love the “print at home” approach is that you have the freedom to choose what paper you print onto, and your finishes. Not only will you save lots of money, you’ll love getting creative too! Traditionally DIY invites require a lot of skill with computers and design software, not to mention the design chops! The approach we offer today skips that step. Simply choose a ready made template from oaksandcedars, a professional graphics designer will then work with you to make the modifications you require – changing colors, making the characters look like you, or just adding some personalized flair to the design.
You will be sent back a printable template in PDF format. Load it up, place the chosen paper into your printer, and hit print! (or send it to a professional printer if you prefer)
Dress it up!
You could cut up the designs at this stage and they would look great, however, lets get creative, because, after all, that’s the fun bit. We would recommend purchasing a basic rounded corner punch. I have found them on amazon for just $8, its amazingly simple, quick and makes the invites look like you spent way more money!
The next stage would be to embellish with a ribbon. Punch a couple of holes into the top of the invite and thread ribbon through, tie into a bow to really make the invite stand out.
