Privacy Policy
When you ask for the Starter Kit, buy a book, or write to us, you're trusting us with personal details. We take that seriously. This page explains what we collect through this site, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.
Wedding for $1,000
Wedding for $1,000 is a wedding planning publication based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, operated by The Aisle Collection LLC. When this page says "we" or "us," it means Wedding for $1,000 and The Aisle Collection LLC.
What we collect
When you ask for the Starter Kit
The signup form asks for one thing: your email address. We use it to send you The $1,000 Wedding Starter Kit and one follow-up a few days later, and we get a short notice that you signed up. We keep your address and the signup date so the follow-up goes out once and only once.
When you buy a book
Our books are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which runs the checkout and handles payment. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing details, and payment information. We never see your full card number. Lemon Squeezy tells us your name, email address, and which books you bought so we can send your files.
When you ask about a sponsored post
The form on our Advertise With Us page asks for your company name, your name, email address, website, a description of your business, your pitch, and the rate you're interested in. If we accept the placement, PayPal sends you the invoice and handles the payment.
When you email us or use the contact form
The contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. If you share your wedding, it also asks for the city, state, guest count, and total you spent. We keep your messages so we can reply and follow up, and we only write about a wedding you've shared after you've said yes and seen the write-up.
When you use the planning tools
The Budget Builder, Food & Alcohol Calculator, Guest List Guide, Day-of Timeline, 30/60/90 Checklist, and Vendor Email Templates all run inside your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us, and nothing is saved when you close the page.
When you visit the site
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page loads, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you visited, and the time. We use this only to keep the site running and secure. If you search the site, your search stays in your browser and is used only to show results.
We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. It tells us which pages people read and roughly where visits come from, and nothing about who you are. We don't use cookies, advertising trackers, or social media tracking pixels. Our typefaces are served from this site, so loading a page doesn't connect you to a font service.
How we use your information
We use what you share to:
- Send you the Starter Kit you asked for, and the one follow-up
- Deliver the books you bought, and help if a download goes wrong
- Handle refunds
- Reply to sponsored post inquiries and, if we work together, invoice and publish the post
- Answer your emails and contact form messages
We don't sell your information or rent it, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. Asking for the Starter Kit sends you the kit, then one short follow-up a few days later with where to start. Every follow-up has an unsubscribe link. It doesn't add you to a mailing list, and we won't add you to one without asking.
Who helps us
We use a small number of trusted services to run the site and reply to you. They handle your information only to provide their service to us.

Lemon Squeezy and PayPal handle payments under their own privacy policies.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Links to other sites
Our posts link to shops, vendors, and other websites. Some of those links are affiliate links, which means we could earn a small commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. When you follow one, that site may use its own cookies to credit the sale. When you leave our site for another site, that site's own privacy policy applies.
How long we keep it
If you buy a book, we keep the order record for as long as we need it for tax and accounting. If we publish a sponsored post for you, we keep our records of that placement for three years. Starter Kit signups, sponsor inquiries we don't take on, and other emails are kept for up to two years and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a legal or tax reason

Keeping it safe
Your information travels to us over a secure connection. Book download links are signed so only the buyer can use them, and they expire after three days. No system is perfect, but we choose services that take security seriously, and we only keep what we need.
Children
This site is for adults planning weddings. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
