Sponsored posts, with the prices printed
We run one paid post a month, at most. Here's what it costs, what we won't run, and why the label always stays on.
We spend a lot of time telling couples to be wary of vendors who won't name a price, so our rates are right here.
You're paying to reach couples planning a wedding on a small budget, and we'll check your numbers before anything goes live. We can't promise search rankings or traffic, and you won't get approval over the rest of the post.
What it costs
| Sponsored post, you write it You send the draft. We edit it for accuracy and for the voice of the site, then publish it. Stays live at least twelve months. | $250 |
|---|---|
| Sponsored post, we write it You give us the facts, the prices, and someone to ask questions of. We report and write it. Stays live at least twelve months. | $400 |
| Post plus a newsletter mention The supplied-draft post, plus a mention in the next Starter Kit email. It's priced low because the list is new, and we'll tell you the exact subscriber count before you buy. | $325 |
| Three posts over a year Three supplied-draft posts, spaced at least eight weeks apart so they don't feel like a campaign. Saves $100 against buying them separately. | $650 |
| Vendor listing, one year A listing on the resources page with your current prices next to it. Renews at the same rate. | $150 |
| Social post, added to any of the above One post on our own channels, written by us, labeled as paid. | $50 |
Our rates are on the low end for independent sites like this one. The newsletter is new, and we'd rather not charge for an audience we can't show you yet. Once we have a year of traffic to share, the rates will go up and we'll post the numbers alongside them.
What we publish
The first two trip up the most people, so it's worth reading them closely before you draft anything.
It has to help someone spend less
Every post on this site exists to help a couple get married for around $1,000. A sponsored post has to clear the same bar. If your product costs more than the alternative but is worth it, that can still work. Just say so plainly.
Every price has to be real
Any number in the post has to be a price a reader can actually pay today, sourced and dated. No introductory rate that expires in a week presented as the normal price, no "from" figure that nothing is available at, no bundle price that requires a call. We check the prices before publishing and we'll keep checking them afterward.
The label isn't negotiable
A paid post carries a visible label at the top saying it's paid and who paid for it, and every outbound link carries rel="sponsored". This is what the FTC endorsement guides require and what Google's spam policies require, and it protects you as much as it protects us. The advertiser and the publisher are both liable for an endorsement, so the label always stays.
We aren't selling ranking
We don't sell followed links, at any price. A paid followed link puts both sites at risk of ranking lower or being dropped from search results. If a followed link is what you're after, we're not the right fit.
Editorial control stays here
You approve that we have represented your product accurately. You don't approve the surrounding copy, the headline, or the comparisons. If we think a reader would be better served by a cheaper option, we'll say so in the post.
You have to be a real business
A working site older than six months, a findable address or service area, a human who answers email, and prices published somewhere we can check them.
One post, not a campaign
We run at most one sponsored post a month, and no more than roughly one in twenty posts on the site will be paid. If we're already booked, we'll tell you the next open month rather than squeeze you in.
Terms
- Payment before publication. The invoice comes from PayPal once we accept the placement, and the post goes into the queue when it clears. Agencies that need net 30 should say so on the form.
- The post stays live for at least twelve months. If it's still accurate after that, it stays up indefinitely.
- Two rounds of revisions are included. Further rounds are $75 each.
- Custom writing is non-refundable once written, which is the standard IAB and 4A's position on custom content.
- No performance guarantee. We don't promise traffic, clicks, inquiries, or bookings, and we won't quote a number we can't stand behind.
- No exclusivity by default. If you want a category-exclusive window, ask, and expect it to be a few weeks rather than a year.
- We'll correct or withdraw a post that turns out to misstate a price, and we'll tell readers we did. That isn't a refund event.
What we turn down
- Payday loans, wedding-specific credit, buy-now-pay-later framed as a way to afford a wedding
- Anything that needs a deposit before it will quote a price
- Multi-level marketing, however it's described
- Weight loss, teeth whitening, cosmetic procedures sold against a wedding date
- Dropshipped decor and registry gimmicks with no real inventory
- Vendors whose portfolio turns out to be stock or AI-generated imagery
- Alcohol brands where the creative would reach readers under 21
- Anything requiring us to remove the paid label or the link attributes
